CM Misty Mist-1997 AQHA Mare
"Mare" is Johns mare he bought from the sand hills of Nebraska back in 2006. She is trained roping and ranch mare, she is also patterned on the barrels. Mare has a wonderful disposition and conformation that is hard to beat. She has produced one foal for us, Diesel, who has turned out to be a great all round gelding for us. Mare is a double bred Tiger Leo on the top and out of a Short Cut/Sheel Blow(Leo) mare. Mare is retired from riding but we are planning on breeding her spring 2016 to a ranch bred stallion.
Joe Mac Bugs- 2004 AQHA gelding
"Rusty" Jo got from a good friend when he was a yearling and is her main horse. Rusty has traveled all over with Jo and she has trained him for a wide variety of disciplines both western & english. Rusty loves pole bending, running barrels, cutting, working cattle, and ponying green horses. This gelding gives his all in and out of the arena, he is always ready to go and a dream to ride.
King of the Roxy-2007 AQHA gelding
King is one of Johns cutting horses. Currently John has about 120 days of training on him in the arena and has been started on the flag, cattle, and trail rides. King is showing great potential to be a awesome all around gelding when he is finished. This gelding loves attention and to be rode no matter what he and John are doing. King is by Slide To Jamaica (Smart Chic Olena X Hurricane Jamaica (Ciclone)) out of Comos Leo Bird (Doctor Como(Son ofa Doc)X Blue Leo Bird (Doc Clabber/War Leo)).
Joyful Storm- 2001 AQHA mare
"Tequila" came off the track and is Jos main barrel horse. This mare had a great deal of issues when she came to us but Jo and her clicked. Now you will find them doing anything from arena work to trails and road riding to ranch work. This mare shows a great deal of promise as a top notch barrel horse and Tequila thoroughly enjoys it. Jo started lightly hauling her in 2011 and in loping a standard pattern she was clocking around a second off the winning times. Unfortunately life has gotten in the way of competing on a regular basis and that was the only year she was competed. Tequila is by Cape Storm, a son of the great Storm Cat O/O a Roberto/Bold Ruler mare. Tequila is out of Magic Hope-SI 103 ROM & AAAT daughter of Joyful Hope (who is the maternal Grand sire to Hopes Money Boy) & a Leo/Go Man Go/Bert mare. Magic Hope is the dam and grand-dam of many ROM and AAA earners & producers on the track and in the barrel arena; Tequila was her last foal. Due to Tequila getting older and being a maiden mare still, we are hoping to breed her in 2016 to a nice up and coming stallion.
Sonitas Peppy Bar- 1999 AQHA mare
"Pepper" came from a good friend of ours by Omaha, NE. This mare has been used for anything and anybody on the trails, down the road, and on the ranch. She can work a cow, hit the advanced trails, go swimming, attend a fun show or barrel run, ranch work, or just relax for a beginner rider. She has produced 2 foals for a so far, a bay filly born in late fall 2009 by Jos Thoroughbred stallion Omalis Buckaroo and a 2012 sorrel colt by Uh Huh Its A Playboy. This mare is by Uno Sonita, a son of the great Sonitas Last. She is out of a foundation bred Doc Bar/Leo mare. We are considering breeding her one last time since she throws such nice foals, but haven't decided yet.
Diesel-2007 QH Gelding
Diesel is out of Johns roping mare CM Misty Mist and (ex-stallion) Jay Beyond Conclusive or Blaze as people know him by. Diesel is that one horse that is the first to meet you at the gate and follows you around everywhere. Diesel was started under saddle in 2013 and is coming along great. He will be a great all around horse, shows a lot of potential for cattle work, speed events, western pleasure, trail, and ranch work. Excellent bone, joints, conformation and a disposition that is every horse lovers dream!
Mr Strawberry Twist-2005 AQHA Gelding
"Steve" is a 15.2 hand, 1300 lb red roan gelding we got in a trade back in 2009. He came to us with a lot of holes in his training and a lot of issues on the ground. After months of re-training, Steve is now a horse that anyone can ride and nothing bothers him. He has tracked cattle, worked the flag, worked out of the boxes, roped a few steers, trotted the barrels and poles, and used on trails. This gelding is in training for roping but also has a great desire to get down and cut a cow.
Omalis Last Buckaroo-2009 AQHA mare
"Tiny" is the last foal by Omalis Buckaroo (deceased TB: Buckaroo X Buckpasser) and out of our 15.2 hand cutting mare Sonitas Peppy Bar (Sonitas Last). Tiny has excellent conformation; great bone and joints and a good disposition. Tiny has about 20 days training on her (as of December 1, 2015) and is doing well, has a decent handle but has a lot of power. She is very alert of her surroundings, not spooky just very watchful. Going to make an excellent barrel/pole horse but also may advance well in endurance riding. She stands 15.2 hands.
Uh Huh Sonitas Playboy-2012 AQHA colt
"Jim" is our youngest cutting/roping or all around prospect out of our cutting/ranch mare Sonitas Peppy Bar or Pepper. He is by a friends cutting stallion Uh Huh Its a Playboy (Playboys Uhuh), a nice cutting and ranch horse in northeast Texas. Jim loves people & attention; in your pocket horse. Jim has been on the back burner and doesn't know much other than the extreme basics. He entered his ground training late November 2015, he will get his first ride after the first of the year. We are really looking forward to this young geldings future, he's going to be a nice one.
